This is going to be a very short story.

Hey, so you may have seen that I am passionate about skincare and fashion, but that is nothing compared to the passion I have for my continent “Africa”.

I’m a Nigerian and I have been looking for ways to give back to my society. I have been searching for ways to get people involved with whatever I am doing that relates to reforming my nation. So I stumbled on UNESCO’s Futures Literacy mission and I immediately keyed into the vision of using the future today. The whole idea of creating the future we want to see, using the power of imagination and speculation is becoming a skill and a tool to shape the future.

Therefore, in line with the goal of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) to show how innovation makes a difference for humanity’s efforts to create a peaceful, inclusive and sustainable world, I have taken the initiative to channel my energy to promote Futures Literacy in my country through a very simple and little way to hope for a better Nigeria and a better Africa in general.

While UNESCO is establishing Futures Literacy Laboratories all over the world, I will be having the chance to speak with professionals, enthusiasts, and futurists on different areas of interest to impact Africa’s development.

So, Ladies and gentlemen! Join me to welcome a new word on the internet “ AFRICAN FUTURIST ”

The Unveiling.

African Futurist

We are living in a new era where the world is changing faster than ever and any change may have huge global consequences because we are increasingly connected.

Perhaps it is time our society takes another step forward to cope with this new challenge, becoming a more “futures literate” society. This is the skill that allows people to better imagine and make sense of the future. It’s important because it is images of the future that drive our expectations, disappointments, and willingness to invest or change.

On here, in this space, I will be having some One-on-One interactions or should I say interviews or discussions with lots of strategic thinkers and people with strategic foresight to take us into current states of various aspect of the society and various sectors of the economy, different industries, and thereafter, telling us what the future may hold and what we can start introducing into the system hereon now. Want to join me for a One-on-One conversation around your area of interest? Be my guest.

This will be more like a diary of the visionaries, where ideas for the future will be documented and used as a reference point.

Please ride with me on this as we make our world, safe, peaceful, and sustainable for mankind.

I’m officially an African Futurist.

let me re-introduce myself: “ Hi, I’m Sharon Aludo. I am an African Futurist.”
